Debt FREE Vacationing

This is a simple yet powerful way to accumulate the cash needed to take a big trip.

We're going to break all the elements down into specific catagories: Airfare, Hotel, Airport Transfers, Food Budget, Cab or Car Rental, Theme Park Tickets, etc.

Give each category a 3x5 card and a paper clip. Write the category name and amount to be saved on the card.

Next, prioritize the categories in order of what needs to be pre-booked first.

Make a monthly budget, pay all of your regular bills and leave a buffer in your account in case you have unforeseen expenses. Then start funding the top element of your trip. Once that's funded, move it to the back of your savings envelope and start funding the next element.

As your categories get funded, you'll get more and more motivated and before you know it, you'll have a wonderful trip and come home without expensive souvenirs (BILLS) waiting in your mail box ;-) Here's our video on using this method:

A large scale family vacation can seem daunting and impossible for a young family on a tight budget, but by using this method YOU CAN do it if you really want to. It's like the old question: How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time.

We'll see you out there.
